What is EPiC Online?
EPiC stands for English Proficiency in Conversation. It is an online spoken English program that enhances English proficiency through interactive conversations.
What equipment should I have to attend an EPiC session?
You will just need a digital device like a PC with a webcam, laptop, tablet, or smartphone and a headset. A stable internet connection with at least 5 Mbps download and 1 Mbps upload speeds is recommended. For the best experience, please ensure you have these resources before starting the program.
Can I still have EPiC sessions when I am traveling?
EPiC Online's program is convenient for individuals who travel frequently for work and want to improve their English language skills. One-on-one coaching sessions can be scheduled at your most convenient time. This flexibility allows you to continue learning and practicing English conversation while on the go, regardless of your location or time zone.
Do you issue a certificate after completing EPiC Online?
Yes, a digital certificate is issued upon 80% completion of EPiC Online sessions.
Is there any external content/app that a learner will need to use to attend EPiC?
EPiC provides learners with a speech assistance app that utilizes AI speech recognition technology. It evaluates pronunciation and fluency, offering instant feedback to identify mistakes and enhance both fluency and pronunciation rapidly.
Is this program claimable under HRDC?
Yes, our EPiC Online program is HRDC claimable for Malaysians.
Do you have a program that will help me improve my business writing skills?

COACHING SESSION
How long is a session?
An EPiC session lasts for 50 minutes.
Can I have a 25-minute session instead?
Each EPiC session is designed for 50 minutes to give the student sufficient time to develop fluency in the language.
How many sessions do I need to take?
We recommend 30 sessions. However, the number of sessions needed may vary depending on the learner's proficiency level and goal to learn. Learners assessed at Lower Intermediate or lower levels are recommended to take 30 sessions, while those assessed at Intermediate level and above are recommended to take 20 sessions.
How long does it take to finish all of my sessions?
At least 3 months for 30 sessions. You are advised to have 2-3 EPiC sessions per week to achieve consistency and flow in your sessions.
Why do you use the word coach instead of tutor or teacher?
EPiC Online focuses on building confidence and improving conversational English, rather than just teaching technical aspects of the language. Our coaches are selected and trained to help you express your thoughts as well as understand and be understood in daily conversation so that you can achieve your goal of proficiency.
Why do you assign different coaches for each session?
You will have different coaches for each session to boost your speaking skills and confidence by practicing with people who have different speaking styles and pronunciations. This mimics the "total immersion" method for language learning.
Can I just be assigned to one coach for all of my sessions?
No. You may get different coaches every time you have your session. This is so that you can get the experience of speaking to different people and learning from them.
Can I have a native English-speaking coach for my session?
Yes. Please inform the Monitoring Team that you wish to have only native-speaker coaches.
How can I book a session?
To book an EPiC session, you can use our eScheduler platform. This platform allows you to choose a session time that works for you and make any necessary changes according to your schedule. Simply log in to your EPiC Online account and access the eScheduler to book your session.
Can I cancel a session if I am not able to attend?
You can cancel your session at least three (3) hours before the scheduled time. Late cancellation will result in the loss of your session credit.
ENROLLMENT AND PRICING
How can I register as a learner?
You can register by sending an email or your mobile number to the address epic-admin@genashtim.com or by registering directly on our website at https://global.epiclanguage.com/
Can I ask for a refund if I decide not to continue with EPiC?
Yes. You can request a refund within 15 days of making the payment, but only if you have not initiated any EPiC Online sessions. Once you begin the sessions, you will no longer be eligible for a refund.
Do you have a corporate package if my company wishes to send people to take EPiC Online?
Yes, we offer corporate discounts. Please contact our Client Support staff at epic-admin@genashtim.com for more details.
Can you customize special lesson materials for an organization?
Yes. However, customization would need some time to develop, and additional costs may be incurred. Please contact our Client Support staff at epic-admin@genashtim.com for more details.
How much is an EPiC session?
An EPiC Online session costs only USD20.
EVALUATION AND MONITORING
How do you determine the appropriate lesson material that will be given to a learner?
During the registration process, you are required to undergo the Genashtim Placement Test. After which, the Quality Assurance team will determine the learning materials based on your identified English proficiency level.
How do you evaluate the English-speaking skill of a learner?
As mentioned above, you are required to take the Genashtim Placement Test to evaluate your current English proficiency level.
How do you evaluate the progress of a learner in EPiC Online?
In EPiC Online, learner progress is evaluated through various methods. Our Quality Assurance team evaluates recordings of the 1st, 10th, and 20th sessions, while the coach offers feedback at the end of each session to ensure ongoing improvement. Learners receive a comprehensive progress report upon course completion.
